Bayer Launches Production Ornamentals Business

The Environmental Science business unit of Crop Science, a division of Bayer, has launched the Bayer Production Ornamentals business, serving professional growers in greenhouses and nurseries across the United States.

“Bayer will bring to production ornamentals the things that we pride ourselves on in the turf market – from dependable sales and technical support to comprehensive pest management programs that help growers expand their businesses,” said John Wendorf, U.S. ornamental business manager for Bayer.

“We look forward to working with a strong group of suppliers and engaging daily with the growers that make this market so vibrant. Together, we know we’ll grow something beautiful.”

The launch of the Bayer Production Ornamentals business means that growers now have access to a comprehensive portfolio of solutions and support, including product and pest management expertise and a team of technical specialists dedicated to solving weed, disease and insect problems.

Bayer offers a product portfolio with the latest in technical innovations as well as the time-tested solutions, according to the company. Key offerings include Marengo herbicide and Savate miticide.

The launch of the Bayer Production Ornamentals business is the culmination of an ongoing initiative for Bayer to more fully serve professional growers in greenhouses and nurseries across the country, according to the company.

“The Bayer mission of Science For A Better Life means that we are constantly innovating and developing new, science-backed solutions that make our customers’ lives easier,” Wendorf said. “The Bayer product portfolio is built from decades of research and first-hand experience in the ornamentals industry, and we have some ground-breaking innovations coming in 2017 that we can’t wait to share with growers.”
