Tomorrow: Hydroponics Q&A Webinar By Jasmina Dolce

Are you considering expanding your business to include hydroponic production? If so, American Hydroponics is hosting a free Q&A webinar where you can ask the experts about everything you need to know about controlled environment agriculture.

The webinar will take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 18 at 3 p.m. CST. You can register for the webinar here. You will also have the opportunity to submit your questions when you register, and American Hydroponics experts will try to answer as many questions as possible during the webinar.

Largest Hydroponic Greenhouse Coming to NY

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced last week that Monroe County will soon be home to the country’s largest commercial hydroponic greenhouse, which will be built by Clearwater Organic Farms LLC. The project is expected to add 137 full-time jobs to the local economy. The greenhouse, based in Eastman Business Park, will span 15 acres as a 650,000-square-foot facility. The greenhouse is expected to be ready by the end of the year and will cost roughly $50 million. “The new Clearwater Organic Farms facility will drive innovation, create jobs for New Yorkers who need them most, and bolster economic growth throughout the region,” Cuomo said in a statement.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Continues to Expand Business

During Scotts Miracle-Gro’s fiscal second-quarter earnings call, CEO Jim Hagedorn discussed the company’s “big vision” for hydroponics and its approach toward the medical and recreational marijuana sector. Scotts Miracle-Gro has emerged as one of the biggest players in traditional business to publicly establish a foothold in the cannabis industry. The company has acquired several sector-leading firms across hydroponics and has a few more acquisitions waiting in the pipeline. “We expect to complete most of these deals by the end of the year,” Hagedorn said.
