Universities Team Up to Create Water Quality Tool

The University of Connecticut and University of Florida recenly launched the WaterQual tool as part of the CleanWateR³ research program.

This easy-to-use tool helps growers interpret the quality of a water source to irrigate plants in greenhouses and nurseries, and is available in English and Spanish.

All users need to do is enter data for quality parameters they are interested in (you do not need to enter data for all the parameters) and click the “Interpret” button.

This web tool is intended for use only as a crop management guide for water sources used in nursery and greenhouse irrigation.

Clean WateR3 is a federally funded Specialty Crops Research Initiative grant focused on research and outreach to help growers Reduce, Remediate and Recycle irrigation water.
