Holiday Bus Tour Announced
On Monday, Dec. 9, Lawn & Garden Retailer (GPN’s sister publication) has scheduled a holiday garden center bus tour that will explore the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, area. The first-annual tour will have stops at several independent garden centers, which will have on display impressive and inspirational holiday ideas.
The tour will take place in conjunction with the 2019 Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable & Farm Market EXPO and Michigan Greenhouse Growers Expo.
Owners/operators of the IGCs will be on site at each to discuss what makes their store successful and how they capitalize on the holiday season.
Some of the stops on the tour include:
- Romence Gardens and Greenhouses, an independent garden center and greenhouse that’s been family-owned and operated for three generations
- Lenderink Tree Farm, a family-owned and operated tree farm
- Flowerland, an independent garden center that’s been in business for 70 years
- Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, a 158-acre botanical garden and outdoor sculpture park
