Dümmen Orange Appoints Freek Tromp to Lead Tropicals

Dümmen Orange recently appointed Freek Tromp as head of its business unit Tropicals.

In his new position, Tromp will succeed Wander Tuinier, who has elected to step away from the role leading tropicals to take on lead, commercial responsibility for Europe and Asia, according to a news release from the company.

Prior to joining tropicals, Freek Tromp was Head of Dümmen Orange’s growing media unit Quick Plug.

“Freek has a proven track record as a successful BU (business unit) Head and we are very pleased to welcome him in this role again in our BU Tropicals,” Dümmen Orange Americas President Keith Cable said in the news release.

Tromp said in the release that he shares the company’s “belief in the power of advanced breeding technology to drive innovations,” and was excited about the new job.

In the Tropicals segment, Dümmen Orange offers an extensive range of varieties, shapes and colors in Phalaenopsis, Anthurium, and Succulents, according to the news release.
