Harvest Health & Recreation Acquires Verano Holdings
Arizona-based Harvest Health & Recreation has acquired Verano Holdings, a Chicago-based operator and grower of cannabis.
At $850 million, this deal is the largest U.S. cannabis acquisition to date. It will give Harvest Health & Recreation the right to operate up to 200 facilities across 16 states and territories.
Expansions are expected to continue. The two companies control nearly 200 licenses together. Their current capacity is 123 dispensaries.
