Wisconsin Lawmakers Introduce Medical Cannabis Bill
“No one should be treated like a criminal for accessing the medicine they need,” Rep. Taylor said.
Gov. Tony Evers posted on Twitter in support of the bill’s introduction and cited a state-wide poll in which 83% of respondents said they support legalizing marijuana for medical purposes.
The people of Wisconsin overwhelmingly support legalizing medical marijuana. In fact, the April @MULawPoll showed that 83% of Wisconsinites support legalizing marijuana for medical purposes.

The bill faces opposition from Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. He reportedly said in a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that “everyone knows that medical marijuana leads to legalized marijuana.”
