Crompton, Great Lakes Change Name

Crompton Corporation, formerly Uniroyal, and Great Lakes Chemical Corporation have announced the completion of an all-stock merger on July 1, 2005, with the combined company becoming Chemtura Corporation, the fourth largest publicly traded U.S. specialty chemicals company, according to the company.

Chemtura Corporation, with pro forma 2004 sales of $3.7 billion, is a global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals; crop protection; and pool, spa and home care products. AmeriLux To Distribute GE Lexan

GE Advanced Materials, Specialty Film & Sheet has named AmeriLux International LLC of Appleton, Wis., a distributor of Lexan multiwall sheet, roofing panels and corrugated sheet in order to expand into new markets, including architectural applications for its Lexan polycarbonate sheet products. With more than 30 years of experience in the architectural and horticultural market sectors, AmeriLux will offer customers valuable expertise as well as availability of GE materials across the United States and Canada.

TrueLeaf Partners With Pure-O-Tech

TrueLeaf Technologies of Petaluma, Calif., has created a partnership with Pure-O-Tech, Inc., of Escondido, Calif. Pure-O-Tech, a provider of water treatment and water purification systems will provide TrueLeaf and its clients with an entire range of water management products and consultative services. TrueLeaf will represent Pure-O-Tech nationally and collaborate to roll out its water treatment products, including filtration, ozonation, UV radiation, nano-filtration, reverse osmosis and re-pressurization.
