Project EverGreen Gets SupportSource: Project EverGreen

Support for the work of Project EverGreen continues to grow. A report of financial contributions to the national non-profit organization shows that, so far in 2006, nearly $400,000 has been received or committed from a broad spectrum of companies, associations and individuals within the green industry.

“This is an encouraging show of support and solidarity for our efforts,” says Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen. “It’s particularly important at a time when we are ramping up our programs to raise consumer awareness about the importance of preserving and enhancing green spaces.”

According to Gardner, Project Evergreen contributors through February 1 included the following: BASF; Brickman Group, Ltd; Cindy Code; Ewing Irrigation; Husqvarna; Irrigation Association; James Martin Associates; John Deere; LESCO; Paul McDonough; RISE; Specialty Products Cons., LLC; Spring-Green Franchise Systems; Mike Ward Landscaping/Eastgate Sod; PBI/Gordon Corporation; ServiceMaster (TruGreen); Syngenta International; TurfGrass Producers International; and Curtis VanderWall.

Growing the type of support represented here is crucial to maintaining our overall efforts, Gardner said. For more information about Project Evergreen call (877) 758-4835 visit www.projectevergreen.com.
