Stokes Seeds and PlantTape enter partnership
Stokes Seeds and PlantTape have partnered to supply growers with seed to best leverage the advantages of the PlantTape technology planting system. Seed will be warehoused at the PlantTape facility in Livingston, Tennessee to enable faster processing of customer orders and movement of seeded plant tape to greenhouses.
Stokes Seeds sales representatives will provide growers with PlantTape specifications and available options for PlantTape-certified greenhouses, along with recommendations for seed that will be sown using the PlantTape technology.
PlantTape is an automated transplanting system based in the Salinas Valley, California that brings precision agriculture to commercial vegetable producers. Crops frequently transplanted using PlantTape technology include lettuce, leek, cabbage, broccoli, celery, tomato and more.
Stokes Seeds is a distributor of commercial vegetable seed in the U.S. and Canada, with operations in Buffalo, New York, Vineland, New Jersey, Holland, Michigan, Moultrie, Georgia, LaBelle, Florida and Thorold, Ontario.
