Carolina Nurseries Hires Sales Director
Carolina Nurseries announced that it has hired Danny Summers to be its director of sales. Summers’ responsibilities will include developing and augmenting Carolina Nurseries’ sales programs, customer relations and sales staff training. Summers is currently the executive vice president of the Southern Nursery Association. He will assume his new duties effective Dec.1, 2006.
JVK Buys Crofton Grower Services
Last week, JVK (Jack Van Klaveren Ltd.) announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Crofton Grower Services Ltd. JVK’s British Columbia (BC) operations will be merged into Crofton Grower Services by late spring 2007. Neil and Clayton Crofton will continue to manage the overall BC operations.
