Veggie and flower gardeners alike will be able to tune into Smith’s television shows, YouTube channel, social media platforms and digital communications to not only learn about Sakata vegetables, but also learn how to plant, grow and decorate with Sakata flowers.

Allen is excited about the partnership, “Exceptional gardens and landscapes are created with exceptional plants. SunPatiens, because of their extraordinary genetics, offer a variety of colors and texture that thrive in both sun and shade. SunPatiens are ‘user friendly’ for the home gardener and make even beginners shine like a pro. Easy to grow and with no fuss, they can be relied upon to deliver a ‘wow’ because of their consistent flower power. For big color, beauty and style, SunPatiens are at the top of my list.”

Smith is an award-winning designer, gardener and lifestyle expert. But, above all, he is a true plantsman that grew up in the nursery business. Smith’s television programs, Garden Home, Garden to Table, and Garden Style, air on over 590 stations nationally. Smith’s other partners include Bonnie Plants, Proven Winners, Jobes Organics and Le Creuset.

According to Mark Seguin, Sakata’s product manager for SunPatiens, “Through extensive trialing at Moss Mountain Farm in Little Rock, Arkansas, Allen has been able to select varieties that are not only beautiful, but are easy to grow and offer a great selection of color, texture and form. Allen recognizes that our award-winning SunPatiens impatiens offer consumers so much.”
