Hydrangea Summer Workshops Scheduled

A series of Hydrangeas A to Z workshops focused on producing hydrangeas will take place this summer in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.

Workshops will be conducted by the extension services of Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina and sponsored by OHP, Bailey Nurseries, and Harrell’s.

Workshops locations include:

• July 21 — McMinnville, Tennessee
• Aug. 2 — Virginia Beach, Virginia
• Aug. 4 — Smithfield, North Carolina

Workshops will cover potting substrate, fertilizers, and blueing; controlling growth with pruning and PGRs; propagation and breeding; new releases; and disease management. Featured speakers include Matthew Chappell, Amy Fulcher, Anthony LeBude, Jim Owen and Alan Windham.

Cost is $35 per person if registered by May 31 and $50 after that date.
