Metrolina, D.S.Cole Growers Recognized by MPS at Cultivate’17

On Monday morning at Cultivate’17, Metrolina Greenhouses and D.S Cole Growers were recognized by MPS for their sustainability efforts.

Metrolina received its MPS-A certification, while D.S. Cole Growers was honored for being a participant for MPS ABC in North America.

Metrolina’s Abe Van Wingerden and Mark Yelanich were on hand to receive their MPS-A certificate from MPS’s CEO Yolande van den Boom.

van den Boom also honored D.S. Cole Growers for being a sustainability pioneer and  innovator over the past 10 years, and an inspiration for other growers.

Doug Cole told the audience that the past decade it has been very rewarding as his company has found new ways to be sustainable and he has enjoyed the challenge.
