Mondays Just Got a Little Better By Tim Hodson

Now that spring is here, are you looking for new and different ways to promote your products to consumers this season? If you are, then you should check out what they are doing at the American Floral Endowment (AFE).

AFE recently introduced a new weekly social media video campaign to help the industry reinforce the many different benefits of flowers.

The #FlowerMarketingMonday campaign will provide growers, retailers, florists and other horticulture businesses with free marketing videos to help promote every day flowers to consumers.

Every Monday, #FlowerMarketingMonday will feature a new video that can be downloaded, personalized and re-posted to your social media channels or websites.

The goal of the campaign is to make the videos go viral and help the industry “flood social media with these flower promoting videos weekly, so millions of consumers can be reminded that flowers are the perfect anytime gift,” says Debi Chedester, AFE Executive Director.

The videos comes directly from the collection of more than 50 creative videos submitted during the Floral Marketing Research Fund (FMRF) and the American Floral Endowment’s #FlowerLoveVideoContest that took place earlier this year.

The contest encouraged flower lovers to promote the use and giving of fresh flowers with short videos. The video contest was created in response to the Marketing to Millennials Study, that revealed the most successful way to reach young consumers was through video and social media.
