  • Responsible for managing the ornamental ipomoea breeding program for Craig Yencho at North Carolina State University. Has worked with a NCSU team to release several new ornamental sweet potato cultivars.
  • Developing new plant varieties; scheduling and conducting ornamental greenhouse and field trials; and formulating the ornamental breeding program’s patents and publications.

Dominic helped renovate a 110-year-old house in Massachusetts that used to be the headquarters of the local milk delivery service.

His must read: “Neuromancer” by William Gibson. “It’s the novel that started the cyberpunk movement and predicted a lot of the information technology we use today. It’s also a story about flawed humans just trying to do their best, which is very relatable.”
