Profile Products Names Shane Porzio President

Profile Products has announced the hiring of Shane Porzio as president of the company. In this newly created role, Porzio will be responsible for managing all of Profile’s businesses — including horticulture, environmental solutions and clay technologies — in the areas of sales, marketing, research and development, operations, and logistics. Jim Tanner will remain the company’s CEO and will focus on business development.

Porzio brings extensive executive experience to Profile with his most recent position as senior vice president and global head of the food and performance materials divisions for Vantage Specialty Chemicals. Prior to that role, Porzio spent 22 years with BASF in various executive positions with extensive international experience. In addition to his general management experience, Porzio has also led teams in research and development, operations, supply chain management and sales and marketing.

Porzio has his PhD in polymer science from The University of Akron, an MBA from Wake Forest University, and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and anthropology from Beloit College.
