Oasis Grower expands southeast sales territory

Oasis Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis, has appointed Paul Gaydos as territory sales manager for a newly created Southeast U.S. sales region, effective April 14.

Gaydos brings over 20 years of experience in commercial horticulture, including plant production, operations, product development and grower support. He will cover Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The new position aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the Southeast and improve support for greenhouse growers using its substrates and ancillary products.

“The creation of this new sales territory will allow us to better serve the Southeast U.S. so more growers can experience the benefits of our innovative, sustainable substrates and ancillary products,” said Vijay Rapaka, director of global grower operations & research at Smithers-Oasis. “I’m confident that Paul’s strong horticulture industry background and experience with the Southeast market will prove to be valuable assets.”

Gaydos earned a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from West Virginia University and an MBA from Everest University. He will report directly to Rapaka.

The addition of the Southeast territory prompted adjustments across other regions. Brenton Williams will now include Ohio and Kentucky in the Midwest territory, Sharon Warschauer will manage the East Coast, Northeast and Canada, and Sergio Sarmiento will continue covering the West Coast.
