Emerald Coast Growers expands perennial lineup for 2025
Emerald Coast Growers has added 32 perennial varieties to its offerings for the 2025-2026 growing season, expanding its perennial selection to meet increasing customer demand.
Though the company is well known for its ornamental grasses, the latest introductions focus solely on perennials. Highlights include:
- Monarda didyma ‘Sugar Buzz Pink Frosting’
- Agastache ‘Beelicious Pink’
- Nepeta ‘Chartreuse on the Loose’ (shown above)
- Veronica ‘Vernique Raspberry’
- several new Phlox subulata from the Spring series
- Colocasia ‘Royal Hawaiian Waikiki’
Cheri Markowitz, vice president of sales for Emerald Coast Growers, said the additions reflect market trends. “We constantly listen to our customers’ needs and try to meet them as quickly as we can,” Markowitz said. “We see an increased demand for unique perennials, which drove our selection process this year.”
Several of the new selections offer benefits for growers, such as improved disease resistance, heat and humidity tolerance, and day-length neutrality. Most varieties are suited for USDA Zones 2 through 10, depending on the species.
