2013 PANTS to Take Place in PhillySource: PANTS 2013

The Penn Atlantic Nursery Trade Show says it expects a 30 percent increase in attendance when it opens July 31 Aug. 1, 2013 at its new venue, the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Penn Atlantic Nursery Trade Show (PANTS) says it expects a 30 percent increase in attendance when it opens July 31 Aug. 1, 2013 at its new venue, the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Part show, part conference, the two-day PANTS is expected to attract more than 2,000 attendees to explore the latest from 285 green trades businesses occupying 400 booths on the convention floor.

Seventeen nationally-noted speakers are featured in “tracks” of related lectures aimed at the specific concerns of such industry segments as independent garden centers, landscapers and garden construction professionals.

Speakers include :

Tom Shay of the consulting firm Profits Plus on marketing, staffing and financial management for small businesses
Judy Sharpton of Growing Places Marketing, a specialist in garden center development
Brad Groff, creator of “Schedule 2 Win” business tracking software
Jerry Gaeta, greed industry business adviser and a leader in effective landscape management practices.

The Master Nursery Conclave, a national forum and purchasing conglomerate for independent garden centers, convenes at PANTS13 this year, adding to the shows panel of speakers with its own featured guests. As part of its role as an event within the larger show, the conclave attracts a targeted group of vendors focused on selling garden center products from potting supplies and plants to holiday décor and hardscaping products.
