AAS opens entries for 2026-2029 perennial trial
All-America Selections is now accepting entries for its 2026-2029 Perennial Trial. Plant breeders are invited to submit new perennial varieties to be tested over three winters at trial sites across North America.
The trial offers an opportunity for breeders to have their perennials evaluated by horticulture experts under varying climates and growing conditions. The goal is to identify standout varieties that demonstrate superior performance, durability and appeal to both growers and consumers.
Entries must be submitted by Sept. 15, 2025. Breeders who submit their forms by Sept. 1 will receive a discounted entry fee. Perennials entered into the trial will undergo evaluation for multiple seasons, assessing attributes such as winter hardiness, disease resistance, flowering habit and overall garden performance.
Winning varieties earn the designation of AAS Winner, a mark that helps distinguish high-performing plants in the marketplace and provides additional marketing value for breeders and growers.
For complete entry details and access to the perennial entry form, breeders should visit the All-America Selections website.
