AFE Sets Deadline for Research Grant Applications

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) is now calling for research pre-proposal applications for 2019-2020.

Researchers looking to secure funding for their floriculture research projects ned to apply before the deadline of June 1.

The primary research funding priorities are relevant to all segments of the floral industry:

  • Botrytis Control and Management
  • Thrips Control and Management
  • Postharvest Technology
  • Production Technology
  • Advanced Breeding Technology, including CRISPR

Research projects can last from one to three years and any reasonable but justifiable budget will be considered.

For the current 2018-2019 cycle, the Endowment is funding more than $325,000 in research.

AFE’s currently-funded research is available online, as well as final research reports from previously-funded projects.

Apply at and submit all supporting documents by the June 1 deadline.
