Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses Names New CEO, Announces New Acquisition

Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses, a wholesale grower in the Midwest that services farm and home stores, hardware stores, and independent garden centers  has named Mike Vallafskey as its new chief executive officer.

Vallafskey joined Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses in November 2021.  Dan Totushek and Jerry Quaal will continue to be actively involved through the transition period and then continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

Prior to joining Dan & Jerry’s, Vallafskey spent 18 years at T.O. Plastics, serving as president for the last 12 years. Most recently, he served as vice president of sales with AgriNomix.

“We are very excited to bring Mike on board as CEO of Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouse,” said Totushek.  “His vast leadership and industry experience will enhance our exceptional management team and support our ultimate goal of serving our valued customers.”

Dan & Jerry’s also like announced the acquisition of Pineview Greenhouse in Kalamazoo, Mchigan.  The addition of this facility will allow the company to better serve its current customer base to the east as well as provide opportunity for growth.

The Pineview facility will maintain much of the current staff and will be managed by Dan Tschirhart.

Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses is based in Monticello, Minnesota, and operates greenhouse facilities in Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, and now Michigan.
