FTC Requests More Time to Review Syngenta-ChemChina Deal
The Federal Trade Commission has requested additional time to review ChemChina’s $43 billion takeover of Syngenta AG according to Bloomberg Markets.
A Syngenta spokesperson said the request is not expected to delay the the companies’ closing their deal in the first half of 2017.
The spokesperson said both companies have offered suggestions to the proposed deal to alleviate any concerns about anti-trust issues.
