HIP Labels names new general manager

HIP Labels, a Greensboro, North Carolina-based provider of horticultural branding products, has appointed Chris Copeland as general manager effective June 2.

Copeland brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role, most recently serving as chief operating officer at Metrolina Greenhouses’ York facility since 2013. He previously held leadership positions at Layman Nurseries and Costa Layman.

In his new position, Copeland will work with the HIP Labels team to enhance operations and logistics while supporting strategic efforts to strengthen relationships with growers and retailers.

“I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career,” said Copeland. “I’m excited to use my operational and logistical experience to help our partners meet the challenges of today and tomorrow with solutions for label management in general and order minimums and timeline alignments in particular.”

HIP Labels has served the horticulture industry for 25 years, supplying growers and retailers in the U.S. and Canada with customized plant tags, wraps and signage. The company uses offset and digital printing and focuses on sustainable branding solutions.

Copeland’s hire signals a focus on improving efficiency and addressing supply chain complexities relevant to greenhouse growers and nurseries, especially in the areas of inventory planning and label sourcing.
