Longwood Gardens’ Holiday Display Recognized by USA Today
Longwood Gardens was recently named the winner of the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights contest by USA Today.
With more than 500,000 outdoor lights and fountains that dance to holiday classics, Longwood won the contest sponsored by USA Today and 10Best.com, topping a list of 20 botanical gardens from across the U.S.
Rounding out the top five is Galaxy of Lights at Huntsville Botanical Garden in Huntsville, Alabama; Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine; Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights, at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, Virginia, and Winter Lights at The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, North Carolina.
This is the third consecutive year Longwood has won the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights award. In addition, in 2014, 2016, and 2018 Longwood was named Best Botanical Garden in North America.
