Rob Rood joins T.O. Plastics

T.O. Plastics, Inc., a thermoforming manufacturer of horticultural containers and trays, has welcomed Rob Rood as its Northeast regional sales manager.

Rood has 25 years experience in the green industry, primarily in the tree and shrub wholesale market. Throughout his career he has worked with large and small growers, as well as contractors. Service and problem solving for his customers has always been his main priority.

“We’re very excited to have Rob on board as our Northeast regional sales manager. He brings a great amount of industry knowledge and experience to the role with his background in both horticulture and agriculture,” said Jared Rusch, vice president of sales and marketing. “Rob will be a great asset to our sales team and organization.”

Rood started his career in horticulture with a small family-owned nursery in central New York while in high school. He followed his horticulture interest and earned a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Development at the State University of New York, Morrisville. In his most recent role, he served the Northeast as a retail sales manager for a U.S.-based agricultural chemical and ag input company.
