Signify updates GrowWise control for greenhouse growers
Signify has launched an updated version of its Philips GrowWise control, a cloud-based application that gives greenhouse growers remote access to their lighting systems and new opportunities in energy market trading.
The updated system allows growers to monitor and adjust lighting strategies across multiple greenhouses or sites, with real-time insights and centralized control. It integrates with leading climate computers and supports both wired and wireless configurations, while role-based access ensures secure management.
A new feature gives Benelux growers with wireless GrowWise control the ability to participate in Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR), a program that supports energy grid stability and provides potential additional revenue streams.
Precision lighting control remains a core feature, allowing users to define set points for light spectrum and intensity, supporting crop-specific needs while improving efficiency.
“The robust on-site Philips GrowWise control system is already in use at over 750 customer sites worldwide,” said Udo van Slooten, sales leader for Philips Horticulture LED Solutions at Signify. “Its proven reliability gives growers the confidence to implement precise lighting strategies and explore participation in energy balancing services.”
Signify said the new capabilities continue to advance lighting intelligence, giving growers more flexibility in managing energy use while maintaining consistent crop quality.
