Sustainabloom debuts video promoting green practices
Sustainabloom has released a new short video, Sustainabloom Road, to promote sustainable practices in the floral and horticulture industries. The video, now available on YouTube and sustainabloom.org, encourages all floral professionals to take part in environmental efforts, regardless of where they are on their sustainability journey.
The initiative is backed by the American Floral Endowment and provides free educational tools, industry guides, and certification resources for floriculture businesses. Since launching in April 2024, the program has grown into a hub of more than 15 detailed guides, assessment tools, and case studies that highlight sustainable practices among greenhouse and floral operations.
“Sustainability is not just a destination — it’s a journey,” said executive director Debi Chedester. “With this video, we hope to motivate the floral community, showing that every small step toward sustainability makes a difference.”
The video was produced with Katie Lila, creative director of Flowers for People, and is part of Sustainabloom’s broader goal to build awareness and collaboration across the floral supply chain.
Growers, suppliers and retailers are encouraged to share the video and explore the platform’s downloadable resources, which include social media materials to help spread the message.
