Eric Clifton

• Published a paper about spotted lanternfly in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that was featured on the cover of the issue.
• Presented a talk on his graduate studies at a meeting in France, meeting other scientists who also worked on biological control.
• Helped double the size of BioWorks R&D team and led efforts to expand its laboratory facilities.

Holy Guacamole: Eric enjoys cooking and has perfected his recipes for guacamole and sweet corn salsa: “Now my friends and family beg me to bring these dishes to every gathering or party.”

In His DNA: Eric’s mother was a horticulture specialist at the Chicago Botanic Garden. “I like to think of her as the Martha Stewart of the Chicagoland area since she would make appearances on WGN-TV.”
