• Assists in the development of woody and perennial cultivars for release by national brands and uses his academic and industry experience to introduce new ideas and strategies to strengthen nursery operation.
• While earning his Ph.D., he studied Camellia sinensis tea, as an alternative crop for the Southern U.S. to provide producers the knowledge to grow and process tea.

Who Are You? His grandfather was born into a sharecropping family and his father is a retired chemist for an agriculture lab. “Now, I get to discover and develop genetics to help support farming families around the world. Dolly again: ‘Find out who you are, and do it on purpose.’”
