• Winning an Emmy with Netflix’s Instant Dream Home
• Winning Best in Show as a collaborator with Ill Exotics at the 2023 Philly Flower Show
• Giving a TEDx talk on how plants are stepping stones toward sustainability
• Writing my book, “Plant Coach”

What led you to work in the horticulture industry?

• My mom recommended I start a garden after college before my corporate career began in NYC. The rest was history, and growing food led me to houseplants which led me to landscaping which led me to becoming an environmentalist.

What’s the best thing about your job? (Please select one)

• I get to do what I love, every day

Describe to a 6-year-old what you do in life?

• I teach people how to grow plants and  make funny videos about it on the internet so people can learn to care about the planet.

What are your favorite hobbies?

• Baseball and basketball

When you’re not working, what are 2 to 3 things we could find you doing?

• Watching movies
• Coaching baseball

Do you have any unusual talents, or can you tell us something interesting about yourself that other people may be surprised to find out?

• I was a college baseball player and personal trainer for years, and I currently coach JV baseball in my town.

One thing you can’t live without?

• Headphones

What are you (un)secretly good at?

• Writing

What are your top three bucket list items?

• Visit a tea garden in Japan 
• Start a local farm stand 
• Create a kids TV show

What’s your favorite plant variety and why?

• Sunflowers. A beautiful, fast-growing annual that feeds birds and baseball players.

• Going on safari in Kenya
