What 3-4 professional and/or personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

• I made a phenomenal choice in a wife and we continue to invest in our marriage so we can pour into young married couples. 
• Proud father of six healthy kids that are sure to make an impact in this world.
• Have made it through 11 springs and counting in the hort industry!

What led you to work in the horticulture industry? 

• I grew up with a production cattle background and knew I didn’t want to work with animals, but wanted to stay in ag. I’m not much for golf, so I went the hort route.

What’s the best thing about your job? 

• Co-workers

Describe to a 6-year-old what you do in life?

• Grow plants and develop people

What are your favorite hobbies? 

• Gardening
• Raising livestock
• Homesteading

When you’re not working, what are two to three things we could find you doing? 

• Raising kids
• Crops
• Animals

Do you have any unusual talents, or can you tell us something interesting about yourself that other people may be surprised to find out? 

• My senior year, I was almost kicked out of college for riding my horse to class — I’m the only person I know of to receive a parking ticket on a horse.

One thing you can’t live without? 

• Relationships — we aren’t meant to do life alone.

What are you (un)secretly good at?

• Discernment

What are your top three bucket list items? 

• Work for one of my children in a business they have started 
• Promote ag on a large scale 
• Help bridge the gap between mass production and regenerative ag

What’s your favorite plant variety and why? 

• ‘Lemon Boy’ tomato because it makes the best tomato sandwiches
• ‘Mr. Stripey’ and ‘Cherokee Purple’ are close seconds

You’re buying a vacation package to anywhere in the world without a budget, where are you going?

• Central America or Israel — depending on time of year.
