Syngenta Flowers recently awarded Caitlin Davis the Goldsmith Seeds Floriculture Business Advancement Scholarship and Chris D’Angelo the Glenn Goldsmith Breeding Excellence Scholarship.

Syngenta Flowers recently awarded Caitlin Davis the Goldsmith Seeds Floriculture Business Advancement Scholarship and Chris D’Angelo the Glenn Goldsmith Breeding Excellence Scholarship. Both students receive $7,500 for future educational use. Davis is earning a Bachelor of Science degree in horticultural science from North Carolina State University. D’Angelo is a recent graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in plant science and a concentration in plant breeding and horticulture. This fall, he will pursue a Ph.D. in plant breeding and genetics with horticultural crops at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is the third year Syngenta Flowers Inc. has awarded the Goldsmith scholarships. The scholarships are given in honor of Glenn Goldsmith, the founder of Goldsmith Seeds, and the contributions he made to the floriculture industry.
