My Irish Eyes are Smiling! By Tim Hodson

Top o’ the morning to you!

And a Happy St. Paddy’s Day to all of you and yours!

Being of Irish heritage, St. Patrick’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays – for many different reasons. One of the main reasons, though, is that when St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, it means spring is just about here.

And my Irish eyes are smiling this morning because I can see spring! It will officially arrive with the vernal equinox on Thursday (March 20) at 12:57 p.m. EDT.

After the winter we have had, I think people of all nationalities will agree with me, spring cannot get here soon enough.

Today is a green kind of day and impending spring means there will be even more green on the way – both inside and outside of your greenhouses.

So I hope you see a lot of green today and in the days to come. As the old Irish saying goes:

May the most you wish for
Be the least you get.
– Irish toast

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

– Tim
