Suntory Partners with GrowIt! to Launch Consumer Photo ContestsSource: Suntory

Always looking for new ways to use technology to engage consumers, Suntory Flowers is launching several new photo contests this gardening season.

The contest will take place in conjunction with GrowIt! Garden Socially, the free garden photo sharing app. As social sharing becomes increasingly popular with each smart phone and tablet sold, this app is a new platform to promote Suntory’s major plant brands and help novice and expert gardeners.

The first photo contest featuring Senetti pericallis runs from May 7-18. Three entrants will win gift certificates from their favorite garden retailer – one $100 prize and two $50 prizes.

1. Download GrowIt! for FREE from the App Store or Google Play store
2. Signup with a username
3. In the app, add a photo of your favorite Senetti plant
4. In the comments, tag it #SenettiRocks

After Senetti, the next featured brand will be Million Bells calibrachoas from June 1-14 and then the summer wraps up with Sun Parasol mandevillas from July 20-August 2.

Growers and retailers who carry these key Suntory plant brands can promote the campaign and upload their own photos to attract consumers in their local markets, this season and in the future.
