• Chris is a former grower who is now in the academic world with position responsibilities that include teaching, research and Extension.
• He is most proud of seeing former students (undergraduate or graduate) go on to use their education to do something they enjoy or love and contribute to an overall better place.

Author Aficionado: His favorite writer is Kurt Vonnegut. “He is an excellent writer whose books are dripping with compassion for the human race and our planet.”

A Classic Rocker: Chris played lead guitar in a band (complete with a ponytail down the middle of his back) and has met members of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers Band.
