ArborJet Releases OMRI-Certified Spray for Pest and Disease Management

ArborJet has announced the general availability of its Eco-1 Garden Spray for protection against insects, mites and diseases.

Eco-1 Garden Spray is now OMRI Listed and certified for use in organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program.

Eco-1 Garden Spray is a botanical blend of thyme and peppermint oils with flaxseed oil, creating a unique emulsion that offers up to 15 times more active ingredients for highly effective control. Other included ingredients help the oils mix with water and dissolve an insect’s exoskeleton for additional pest fighting power.

Formulated with EPA Minimum Risk active ingredients allowed for use on food crops, Eco-1 Garden Spray is non-toxic to people and pets and is ideal for organic growing.

Eco-1 Garden Spray can be used against diseases and pests without risk of leaf scorching. It is effective against a wide range of soft-bodied insects and mites, such as aphids, mealybugs, psyllids, scales, thrips, two-spotted spider mites and whiteflies.

The formulation also prevents and controls various fungal diseases such as powdery mildew, black spot, early and late blight, scab, gray mold, rust, brown rots and leaf spot. As flaxseed oil is lighter than traditional oils used in gardening products, Eco-1 Garden Spray can be used to prevent these pests and diseases without clogging sprayers or leaving a thick residue on the treated plant.

The company also announced that it has acquired a majority interest in Ecologel Solutions, LLC, Ocala, Florida. Ecologel develops and manufactures products for plant nutrition, water conservation, dust mitigation,  pond and lake management, and anti-fungal coatings.

“Ecologel’s products broaden and strengthen Arborjet’s existing catalog of unique offerings that provide environmentally responsible solutions to serious issues,” said Russ Davis, president and chief operating officer of Arborjet. “We are eager to explore how Ecologel and Arborjet technologies can benefit each other, and we are particularly excited to expand Hydretain’s reach into to the horticultural and agriculture industries to reduce water usage around the world.”
