- In 2016, Katie was the recipient of the inaugural Emergent Communicator Award from GWA — The Association for Garden Communicators.

Fun Facts
A Triple Threat: Katie successfully completed the New York Triathlon — a 1.5-kilometer swim, followed by a 40-kilometer bike ride and a 10-kilometer run through New York City. “It was a tough road, but a great personal accomplishment.”
