American Garden Rose Selections announces 2026 winners
The American Garden Rose Selections (AGRS) program has announced its 2026 award-winning roses, recognizing varieties that excel in beauty, resilience and fragrance across diverse U.S. climates.
The winners were evaluated in test gardens nationwide based on disease resistance, bloom quality, foliage, plant habit and overall performance. Regional Choice Awards highlight varieties that perform best in specific regions, while the Fragrance Award honors exceptional scent.
This year’s Regional Choice Winners include:
-
Buttercream Drift, introduced by Star Roses and Plants, recognized in four regions
-
Butterfly Bliss and Glass Slipper, both from Antique Rose Emporium, recognized in all six regions
-
Make Me Blush, from Weeks Roses, honored in three regions
-
Persian Eye, from Altman Plants, recognized in three regions
-
Reminiscent Pink, from Spring Meadow Nursery, received both a Regional Choice and Fragrance Award in three regions
-
True Crush and True Happiness, from Altman Plants, recognized in multiple regions
-
White Lies, from Certified Nurseries, honored in three regions
“Each year, the AGRS program celebrates roses that not only dazzle with their beauty but also prove their worth in gardens across America,” said Pat Shanley, chair of the American Garden Rose Selections.
The AGRS encourages growers, retailers and landscape professionals to explore the new winners for future plant selections.
