AmericanHort expands D.C. advocacy team, capability

AmericanHort has continued to develop its advocacy capability in order to defend and enhance the business environment for its members. In an email, AmericanHort noted that industry “advocacy is more important than ever given the rapidly changing legislative and regulatory environment and election year politics affecting our industry.”

Matt Mika, vice president of advocacy and government affairs for AmericanHort, has assumed leadership of the Washington D.C. advocacy team. This is a transition of leadership from Craig Regelbrugge, who will continue to assist in an executive advisory role for AmericanHort, supporting the advocacy and research team. Regelbrugge will be primarily focused on phytosanitary/plant health and trade issues.

“Craig’s contributions to our industry cannot be overstated and we appreciate Craig’s legacy of contribution to the industry. We are pleased to retain him in a role that utilizes his significant industry and association knowledge,” AmericanHort stated in the email.
