Costa Farms expands consumer outreach with NYC events

Costa Farms expanded its consumer-focused outreach this season with two events in New York City aimed at strengthening its connection with indoor plant enthusiasts.

Costa Farms isn’t just a grower, we’re a brand,” said Mari Carrasquillo, VP of marketing at Costa Farms. “We’re meeting consumers where they are, from social to retail to real-life experiences.”

The company first activated at PlantCon NYC, held Aug. 30–31 at Pier 17. Costa Farms partnered with Plant Choir to demonstrate plant frequency technology and hosted Q&A sessions with its horticulture experts. Thousands of attendees engaged with the booth and viewed previews of upcoming plant varieties.

PlantCon NYC drew hobbyists, creators and industry leaders for panels, workshops and vendor exhibits, highlighting continued interest in indoor plant culture. “Costa Farms is leading the way in bridging the gap between hobbyists and industry by showing up in the spaces that plant people love,” said Kenny Kong, president and founder of PlantCon.

Costa Farms then hosted an immersive media event in Manhattan that featured plant styling demonstrations and product previews for 2026. Editors, influencers and stylists met with plant stylist and author Hilton Carter and Costa Farms horticulturist Justin Hancock. The event highlighted plant collecting trends, styling ideas and the benefits of incorporating plants into living spaces.

Both activations support Costa Farms’ multi-year marketing campaign, which integrates live events, influencer partnerships and digital outreach to increase consumer engagement and brand visibility.
