e-GRO Announces Webinars
e-GRO (Electronic Grower Resources Online) will present five different free webinars on nutrition monitoring, plant growth regulators and lighting over the next several weeks.
e-GRO is a collaborative effort of floriculture specialists that serves as a clearing house for alerts about disease, insect, environmental, physiological and nutritional disorders being observed in commercial greenhouses.
On Jan. 19, W. Garrett Owen, Michigan State University, and Josh Henry and Brian Whipker, North Carolina State University, will address in-house nutrient monitoring in a one-hour, three-part webinar.
Plant growth regulators will be the focus of four different presentations on Jan. 25 and 26. “Mixing and Measuring Small Amounts of PGRs and Pesticides” will be covered by Lee Stivers, Penn State University Extension, and Joyce Latimer, Virginia, will provide a “Perennial PGR Update.” Their presentations will take place on Jan. 25.
On Jan. 26, Chris Currey, Iowa State University, will examine “Biocontainers and Growth Regulators: Strategies for Effective Control.” That same day, Whipker will present “Recognizing PGR Overdoses, Other Mimics, and How to Get Back on Track.”
