GPN’s 40 Under 40 Roundtable to Take Place March 18

GPN’s Forty Under 40 is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2021. To commemorate this milestone, on March 18,  GPN’s first 40 Under 40 Roundtable will take place featuring several alumnus from the Forty Under 40 program.

During this free one-hour webcast three industry experts will provide their fresh perspectives on the latest issues facing growers in 2021. Jasmina Dolce, editor, and Tim Hodson, editorial director of GPN, will moderate this interactive webcast.

Participants in the roundtable include:

Brian Austin — Brian Austin is the head grower at Dutch Heritage Gardens, in Larkspur, Colorado. Growing up in the horticulture industry, he developed a life-long passion for plants. After completing his bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Colorado State University, he started working as a grower at Dutch Heritage Gardens. There, he has spent the last 12 years, six of them as the head grower.

Marta Maria Garcia — With more than 15 years of experience as director of marketing for Costa Farms and more recently as marketing director at Nature’s Way Farms, Marta Maria Garcia is skillful at keeping a close eye on trends influencing the market and helping companies achieve sales goals and revenue growth through the implementation of strategic marketing initiatives. Marta Maria is also a strong advocate for the industry. She’s an active board member of PMA’s Center of Growing Talent, an association designed to attract, retain and develop talent for the floral and produce industry.

Stephanie Whitehouse — Stephanie Whitehouse is the retail general manager for Dickman Farms Garden Center in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Prior to working in garden retail Stephanie was the sales & marketing director for Peace Tree Farm where she helped launch Lavender Phenomenal. She believes strongly in giving back to the industry and has been member of AmericanHort’s GenNext and Retail Community Connectors since 2012.

The webcast will take place at 2 p.m. EDT on March 18.
