J. Berry Nursery Adds Staff Members

With the ongoing mission of “Bringing beautiful plants into lives,
homes and gardens around the world,” J. Berry Nursery & Genetics has added four new members to its team.

Jesse Hensen

Jesse Hensen is the Hollywood Hibiscus Supply Chain Manager. He will serve as a liaison between J. Berry Nursery, the young plant brokerage community, young plant producers, and the finished growers. He also will support trial partners, communicating results with the J. Berry sales, marketing, and operations team.

He will work to ensure best practices and share production protocol recommendations to help growers reduce costs while elevating the quality of the products. With more than 40 years of experience in the horticulture industry, Jesse’s experience with customer service, vendor relations and sales will serve both J. Berry and its partners well.

Emilia Edwards

Emilia Edwards is the company’s new project manager and production coordinator. She is a native of J. Berry’s hometown of Grand Saline, Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce.

David Ocheltree

David Ocheltree has been hired as human resources manager/continuous improvement manager.  Originally from Seattle, Washington, he is a graduate of Concordia University with a master’s degree in human resource management. In 2018, he retired from the United States military after 26 years of service.

Jim Hoover

Jim Hoover is the company’s new logistics and shipping manager. He recently relocated to Texas from Minnesota and has 30 years of experience in the logistics field after studying at Georgia Tech.
