NGB unveils 2025 Year of the genera, marketing tools

The National Garden Bureau (NGB) has released the 2025 “Year of the” genera, spotlighting asclepias (perennial), caladium (bulb), calendula (annual), dogwood (flowering shrub), monstera (houseplant) and pea (edible). To support retailers and growers, NGB is offering a suite of free marketing tools designed to promote these crops effectively.

Marketing toolkit

NGB’s marketing toolkit includes custom, hand-painted logos, pre-written social media posts, hundreds of photos, PowerPoint presentations, “Did You Know” graphics, printable posters, and fact sheets in PDF format. Select 2025 tools are available now, with more to be uploaded through late summer and early fall.

Cultivate’24

“For Cultivate’24 attendees, the 2025 Year of the display can be viewed in the concourse of the Columbus Convention Center,” said NGB Executive Director Diane Blazek. “These resources are designed to simplify marketing efforts and help the industry capitalize on this successful national campaign.”
