Proven Winners announces 70 new varieties for 2026

Proven WInners Square logoProven Winners has announced its 2026 plant lineup, introducing 70 new annuals, perennials and shrubs aimed at supporting both greenhouse growers and garden retailers.

With a continued focus on heat- and drought-tolerant varieties, the company says the new selections are trialed for strong seasonal performance and ease of care. The breeding process, according to Proven Winners, includes years of research and testing, with only 1 to 2 percent of trialed plants making it to market.

“At Proven Winners, we partner with breeders who are committed to developing superior plants,” said Kevin Hurd, Proven Winners vice president of product development. “Together, it’s a mutual effort to keep up with modern genetics while balancing the goals of improved grower and consumer performance.”

The new introductions are backed by Proven Winners’ marketing campaigns and supported with free grower resources, including high-resolution images, presentations and an instructional video.

To help growers identify standout plants, the company’s “Top Picks” program highlights varieties selected for unique traits, low-maintenance needs and vigorous, season-long growth.

Vice president of sales Dave Konsoer said Top Picks are chosen for traits such as heat and humidity tolerance, vigor and garden performance.

The new varieties and support materials are designed to help greenhouse professionals make informed production and merchandising decisions ahead of the 2026 season.
