Palram Acquires SPS
As part of a worldwide effort to streamline, strengthen and broaden Palram’s sales and marketing efforts, Palram has acquired SPS. With the exception of Carl Schultz, current SPS employees will begin operating within the newly created Horticultural Products Division of Palram Americas. The move will allow the former “SPS” to focus on its primary strengths, sales and marketing, while relying on Palram for increased infrastructure and operational resources. Stan Schultz is now Horticultural Products Division Manager. Ron James will assume the title of National Sales Manager for the Hort Products Division.
Carlin Sales Purchases ProGreen Plus
Carlin Sales Corp. recently announced the purchase of ProGreen Plus. ProGreen Plus is a supplier of wholesale turf, landscape and aquatic products in southeastern Wisconsin. ProGreen Plus has locations in Milwaukee, New Berlin and Kaukauna, Wis. The combination of the two companies will provide green industry professionals with a broader product offering and the convenience of additional locations. In total, Carlin Sales and ProGreen Plus will offer more than 12,000 products to the industry. As a result of the purchase, ProGreen Plus has moved its Milwaukee location into Carlin Sales’ Milwaukee facility. All other locations for both companies will continue to operate as they have in the past. Former Vice President of ProGreen Plus, Mike Akin, will continue to serve customers in a sales capacity. Four other employees will also stay on with the company.
