Last month at California Spring Trials, visitors to the Benary display at Plug Connection in Vista, Calif., were asked to come up with a new name for the breeder’s blue ageratum (see photo).

The winning name is…’Blue Hawaii 5.0′.

The new ‘Blue Hawaii 5.0’ stems from a new parent line. The ageratum is uniform and compact variety and has high seed quality (usable plants reportedly is greater than 90%). It is an excellent performer in packs, pots and garden.
