Seed Holdings Buys Ferry Morse and A.E. McKenzieSource: Jiffy International and Plantation Products

New company will continue to sell products under Jiffy name

Seed Holdings Inc. has acquired all of the assets of Ferry Morse Seed Co. (USA) and A.E. McKenzie Inc. (Canada) from Jiffy International AS.

Seed Holdings is also the shareholder of Plantation Products LLC, a merchandiser of flower and vegetable seed packets, and the owner of the following Home Gardening brands: NK Lawn & Garden, American Seeds, Fredonia and Plantation Products.

Ferry Morse, which was founded in 1856, is a supplier of consumer seed packets for the U.S. market, and McKenzie, also with more than 100 years of history, is a supplier for Canadian market. The following brands are part of the Ferry Morse and McKenzie portfolios: Ferry Morse Seeds, Lilly Miller, Green Arbor, McKenzie, McFayden and Pike Seeds.

In addition, both companies are marketing seed-starting products consisting of the following professional product lines from Jiffy: Jiffy-7 peat pellets, Jiffypot biodegradable plant pots and Jiffy-Mix premium growing media.

The new company will continue to sell these products under the Jiffy brand and may launch additional lawn & garden product lines under the same brand.

Headquarters of the new company will be in Norton, Mass.” the current location of Plantation LLC.
